Week 1 Review of Work and Tableaux

Tableaux

Derived from - Tableaux Vivant meaning ‘living pictures’

·      A picturesque grouping of persons or objects; a striking scene.

·      A representation of a picture, statue, scene, etc., by one or more persons suitably costumed and posed.

The effective use of Tableaux enables the visual artist to explore complex narratives visually.

Animators and Illustrators are visual storytellers.
Imagining narratives and staging scenes are useful skills for animators and illustrators to develop. Good animators will often act out their shots to improve the timing and gestures of their characters.
